Who we are
This website, the client portal and our services are provided by Joburgstyle Media House Pty Ltd, trading as JoburgStyle Events & Promotions, Johannesburg, South Africa ("we", "us"). When you use the site or book with us, you are contracting with Joburgstyle Media House Pty Ltd.
Acceptance
By using this website or the client portal, or by accepting a quote, you agree to these terms. If you book on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it; individuals must be 18 or older.
Our services
We provide event staffing, promotional talent, brand ambassadors and event management. Package prices on this site are illustrative and exclude VAT; they are not an offer. A booking is confirmed only by a written quote accepted by both parties. Travel, accommodation and production are quoted separately.
Your account
Keep your portal login confidential and your details accurate. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Acceptable use
You must not use the site or portal unlawfully; for fraud or spam; to infringe anyone's intellectual property; or to interfere with security, including uploading malware, probing for vulnerabilities or scraping.
Payments
Quotes may be paid online as a 70% deposit or in full, as shown in the client portal. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms and our Refund Policy.
Talent
All talent are 18 or older. Clients must provide a safe working environment and follow responsible alcohol practice where alcohol is served.
Intellectual property
We own the website, portal, content and the JoburgStyle name and logo. They may not be used without our written permission.
Service level
The website and portal are provided "as is". We do not guarantee they will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the relevant booking, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access to the portal or our services for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious violations.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, and the courts of Johannesburg have jurisdiction.
